The facility has been made available in "crime against women" section in state police website ‘uppolice.gov.in’. Principal Secretary (Home) Anil Kumar Gupta said on Friday while announcing the launch of the service.

This is for the first time such service has been started to empower women, who face problems or hesitate in going to police stations. The victim could upload photograph or video in support of her complaint and could also track its progress after loging and entering password, which would be sent to the complainant's mobile, Gupta said.
