Lucknow: In order to woo Muslim voters ahead of the Assembly election, Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to organize a conference under the aegis of ‘Alpsankhyak Swabhiman Sammelan’ on October 3 which will be attended by all big Muslim leaders of Uttar Pradesh and outside the state.

The conference aims to polish the party image and convince the minority community especially the Muslims that BJP has no animosity towards the community and is much more concerned about them in comparison with other self acclaimed secular parties.

The BJP leaders would make appeal to the Muslim community to overcome their misunderstanding about the BJP.

A BJP leader said, “We know that BJP is not liked by the Muslim community and it fails to get their votes.”
“Our effort does not mean to grab Muslim votes but to convince them to end their stubborn attitude to defeat BJP anyhow,” the leader said.

It is worth mentioning that the recent ‘cap-episode’ in Ahmedabad has given  sleepless nights to BJP leaders as it is likely to affect the party election strategy to woo Muslim voters.

During his three day Sadbhavana fast, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had publicly denied putting a cap offered by a Muslim Imam on stage.
