Lucknow: The Mayawati government is mulling over the running fast track court on its own as the Centre has refused to provide monetary help to Uttar Pradesh.

There is a talk over changing the contour of fast track court and renaming them as well. All the modifications could be done after the Chief Minister gives her nod.

The fast track court has been set up to dispose off the pending cases in the year 2000-2011. As many as 242 courts were formed in the state, but the Central government has denied giving money to the state.

A circular has been sent to the fast track courts of the state stating that 31st March will be their last day.  If the fast track courts are closed, the increasing number of cases can create problems for the judiciary and legislature.

To deal with the problem, both the judiciary and legislature have decided to run the fast track courts with the help of state revenue.
