More than eight lakh candidates had appeared in the examination that was conducted on February 22 and 23.

However, there is no official statement issued by the UP Basic Education Board in this regard.

Last week, Nina Srivastava, Secretary in charge of UPTET 2013-14, confirmed that some irregularities were found in the some questions after releasing the answer key on the website.

Sources informed that results have been prepared and are now ready to be published after the final consent from the Uttar Pradesh government.

Students waiting for their results should keep their registration number ready and check the official website of UP Basic Education Board -- upbasiceduboard.gov.in

The results were earlier scheduled to come out on 27th March, 2014.
