The Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may create disruptions over the state's move to pass a new Lokayukta Bill on the lines of the Centre's Lokayukta Bill, rejecting the one introduced by the previous BJP government.
Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Ajay Bhatt said that before the new bill is passed, the state government will have to answer why the earlier Lokayukta bill was not implemented.
He alleged that by not passing the old bill, the government had given four months' time to the corrupt people to cover their tracks.
Congress government will have to answer these questions in the House, he said.
The first day of the session was adjourned after Governor Aziz Qureshi's address, amid din by the BJP members on January 13.
