Dehradun: Congress in Uttarakhand on Wednesday demanded the arrest of Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik on his return from Pakistan for his "anti-national" activities.
In a letter to Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, Pradesh Congress spokesman Dhirendra Pratap Singh said, "Yasin Malik has long been spewing venom against India. His fast in Islamabad in protest against Afzal Guru's hanging only shows with whom his sympathies lie".

"It is time he was arrested and sent to jail on his return from Pakistan and tried on charges of sedition," Singh said. Terming Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's reaction to the execution of the Parliament attack convict as “unfortunate", the Congress leader demanded he should apologise to the nation for this.
