Dehra Dun:  The Congress government in Uttarakhand has formed an inquiry commission to probe alleged financial irregularities during the previous BJP rule in the state.

The move comes in the wake of a memorandum submitted by five Congress MPs from Uttarakhand to the President citing financial irregularities and gross anomalies in several projects during BJP's tenure, Secretary, General Administration, Manisha Pawar said.

Former IAS officer K L Bhati will head the Commission of Inquiry approved by Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna, she said.
