Haridwar:  After the central agencies registered several cases against Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev and his trusts earlier, now the state government also seems to be notching him into the nets with the revenue department reopening 15 cases in connection with the evasion of stamp duty.

The SDM court had already resolved these cases but now the district magistrate has once again instructed the public prosecutor to file a petition in relevance of these cases. The SDM court delivered its verdict against Baba Ramdev in the case of illegal encroachment of 29.12 hectares of land in the Aurangabad village for ‘Yoggram’, the dream project of Ramdev.

Patanjali Yogpeet and the related organizations had to pay electricity bill worth Rs 75 lakh. Patanjali Yogpeet later issued a notice to electricity department claiming that there is no electricity bill due against them. After receiving the notice from Patanjali, the electricity department dumped the trusts name into the list of major power defaulters.
