New Delhi: Fire brand BJP leader and Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi may be a crowd puller for the party but of late he has been attracting attention for all the wrong reasons.

In the BJP’s core group meeting on Wednesday presided over by party chief Nitin gadkari, questions were raised over Varun’s behavior following a verbal spat between him and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. Another veteran BJP leader, Santosh Gangwar, too raised questions over Varun’s behavior.

The situation was brought under control by Gadkari who later on had a word with Varun.
Meanwhile, BJP’s strategy for next year’s Uttar Pradesh Assembly election was also discussed in the meeting.

The party which received a great setback in the last general elections in UP is trying hard to improve its image in the coming Assembly and local body elections in the state.

During the discussion, Santosh Gangwar, ex-MP from Bareilly said he had no information regarding Varun’s rally in Bareilly. To this Varun said he has invited all the leaders to address the rally. Responding to this, Naqwi said the party is above everything which led to an altercation between the two.
