New Delhi: BJP MP Varun Gandhi on Friday filed an RTI application in the Ministry of Finance, seeking information about the names of Members of Parliament and others who have allegedly stashed blackmoney in the accounts of HSBC, Geneva.

Making six points reference in his RTI application, the MP has sought names of Indians who have allegedly deposited their blackmoney in the bank and demanded details of former and current MPs present in them. Moreover, he has also sought information on the action taken by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) against them and related details in this regard.
   
Besides this he wanted to know from the Ministry, the list of persons who have deposited more than Rs 50 crore in the HSBC, Geneva.

Varun also wanted to know whether the Income Tax department has questioned or surveyed in this regard and made any recovery from the account holders of the bank.

The move by young MP from Pilibhit is indeed a giant step towards tracking the details of the Indians who have stashed their blackmoney in foreign banks.
