Bhopal: VIT University, Vellore has placed a proposal before the Madhya Pradesh Government for setting up an international level insitution in the state.

The proposal was given by the Chairman of VIT University, Vellore, Dr G Vishwanathan who called on Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday, official sources said on Saturday.

The Chairman said he expected cooperation of Madhya Pradesh government in this regard to which Chouhan assured full support.

He said that Madhya Pradesh government always wished that international-level institutions are established in the state.

Vishwanathan informed that 900 students from Madhya Pradesh are studying in the Vellore-based university and among them 150 students are from Bhopal.

He said that preliminary preparations have been initiated for setting up the proposed institute to be established in the state.
