Allahabad: Alleging that there is an effort to establish Christianity by insulting Indian culture and saints, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is set to launch a campaign against UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

VHP international president Ashok Singhal said that in order to protect Sanatan Dharam it has become necessary to remove Sonia from power and VHP would launch ‘Sonia hatao, desh bachao’ campaign in this regard.

Singhal attended the Akhil Bharatiya Prabandh Samiti’s five-day convention in Uttar Pradesh. Relating fight against corruption to struggle for independence, Singhal said Anna Hazare and Ramdev will get success in their campaign against graft, but it will take time.

Asked about Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, he replied, “VHP has executed whatever claims it made and the case on disputed Ayodhya, Ram Setu and Amarnath Yatra were few examples of it.”

“As far as building of Ram Mandir is concerned, the ground has been leveled and stones have also arrived. Work will commence after order is passed,” said Singhal.

Around 200 senior leaders are taking part in the convention and a strategy will be made to bring the programmes initiated by VHP among the people.

The first day of the convention saw analysing loopholes in the party and discussions on cow protection, promotion of Sanskrit language, etc.
