Kathmandu: Nepalese authorities have arrested a Vietnamese national and seized fake Indian currency with face value worth Rs 10 million from his possession on Tuesday.

Pham Van Dhin was arrested as he landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport here from a Thai Airways flight from Bangkok on Tuesday night, according to the police.Fake Indian currency notes with Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 face value worth Rs 10 million were recovered from him.

The notes were concealed in the false bottom of his suitcase. The police got alerted after seeing his suspicious behavior, at the airport and scanned his luggage and during which the fake notes were recovered, they said.
