Sahibganj: In another case of man-animal conflict, one alligator and 11 foxes were killed in the district by villagers after they entered their villages.

While one alligator was killed after it attacked villagers, the foxes were killed by the villagers as they were creating nuisance in the area for the last one month.

Three alligators entered Goldhaon village after the flood waters receded in the area. One of the alligators attacked two villagers who cried for help.

In response, the villagers beat the alligator to death while two others escaped in the waters.

In a related incident, villagers beat to death 11 foxes who had gathered around the Idgah in Mansingha panchayat under Rajmahal police station.

The villagers said the foxes had become a nuisance in the area for the last one month and they were destroying a cemetery in the area.
