The Chief Minister said the MCI had so far not ordered reducing the number of MBBS seats in the two colleges, but had only given a suggestion in this regard in its report.
"The state government would raise this issue with the Centre on priority and stress that the twin colleges have best infrastructure facilities and faculty and work on the suggestions of MCI," he said.

"The government would not let the number of MBBS seats reduced in any of the two medical colleges," he said before leaving for Delhi.
Referring to the controversy over two proposed water plants to augment water supply for Shimla, the Chief Minister said a committee of four ministers headed by Irrigation and Public Health Minister Vidya Stokes would look into the pros and cons of the projects.
