New Delhi: After a rainy night, Delhiites woke up to a warmer but cloudy morning with minimum temperature settling five degree Celsius above normal at 11.6, degree Celsius.

Monday’s minimum was up by over three degrees from Sunday's 8.4 degrees, the MeT Department said. Sunday, the maximum was at 19.5 degree Celsius.

The last night showers measured 0.6 mm in the rain gauge.

There was shallow fog in the morning but it did not have much impact on the operations at the Indira Gandhi International airport.

The Weatherman has predicted that the mercury may come down to seven degrees in the morning on tuesday while during the day, the temperature may rise to 20 degrees.

Last month saw the minimum temperature come down to 2.9 deg C on Christmas morning, the lowest for the season so far.
