Kolkata: The forensic investigation of hellfire in AMRI hospital killing 93 people has been hamstrung owing to the water pool in the basement of super-specialty health care centre.

The fire brigade personnel were pressed into action to take out water from the basement on the second day of the tragic incident, as it is feared that the further investigation could be affected. However, the forensic team has collected some samples to probe the cause of fire and they are expected to submit their report in a week.

On the other hand, people continued venting their anger against the management of AMRI hospital. The Chief Minister has already directed for a judicial inquiry into the blaze incident on Saturday.

In the memory of those killed in the tragic fire, Kolkata Police and Kolkata Municipal Corporation have announced to construct a memorial at Ravindra Sarovar.

Dr Vishwanath Kohli, who did postmortems of 83 dead bodies in 13 hours and 20 minutes, was admitted to the hospital on Sunday because he fell ill. Dr. Kohli is said to be a brain tumour patient.
