Kolkata: In a bid to develop the IT sector in the state and generate more employment opportunities for the skilled youth, the West Bengal Government has given green signal to an IT complex in Salt Lake.

Welcoming the plan initiated by the Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority (NDITA), Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday said that the buildings constructed on the 38 lakh sq ft area will prove effective in controlling migration of skilled youth.

“The plan will generate 40, 000 IT jobs for the job seekers in the state,” said Banerjee.

Encouraging industrialists interested in investment in the state, the Chief Minister said, “Now the investors will need to fill only seven forms against 99 forms in the process for investing here.”

Alapan Bandyopadhyay Chairman, NDITA and other senior officials of the authority were also present on the occasion.
