Last year, the WBJEE results were announced on June 5 and approximately one lakh students had appeared in the examinations.

The WBJEEB conducts the West Bengal JEE examinations each year for admissions to the Engineering colleges of West Bengal. Admissions to 96 Engineering colleges in West Bengal are purely based on the WBJEE results.


Reservation of seats under WBJEE 2015 will be provided as per the policy of Government of West Bengal. However, SC/ ST/ PwD/ OBC of other states are not entitled to this provision.

PwD candidates will be entitled to reservation only if they have 50 percent to 70 percent loco-motor disability. However, if seats under quota remain unfilled, the candidates with loco-motor disability of lower limbs between 40 percent to 50 percent will also be granted admission under reserved seats.

Eligibility Criteria:

General candidates must secure at least 45 percent marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology taken together (40 percent for SC/ST/PWD/OBC candidates) and at least 30 percent marks in English (for all categories) in class 12th.
