New Delhi: In a bid to enhance the academic performance, the Directorate of Education has directed all government schools to conduct weekly tests for the students under the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system. The tests will be held every week on Tuesday and Thursday.

Additional Director Dr Sunita S Kaushik of the Directorate of education had issued an order on April 4, directing all the government schools to conduct weekly tests for the students.

The weekly tests will begin from April 9 for students of class-IV upto12th. The Directorate of Education has prepared a format in this regard so that the performance of the students could be evaluated.

Government School Teachers Association DELTA’s general secretary Madan Mohan said, “The weekly tests would benefit the government school students and would bring a competitive spirit in them to perform better every week.”

Notably, there are 937 government schools in Delhi. More than 14 lakh students attend these schools out of which more than 9 lakh students are in Class 4-12.
