Reports also claim that India alone serves as the single largest country in boosting the user statistics of WhatsApp.

“In the last few months, we’ve grown fastest in countries like Brazil, India, Mexico, and Russia, and our users are also sharing more than 700 million photos and 100 million videos every single day,” it added.

Facebook had bought WhatsApp for USD 19 billion. Facebook is betting huge on mobile with the eye-popping cash-and-stock deal for WhatsApp, which was only started five years ago but has quickly grown as a free alternative to text messages.
