Bhopal: The process of procuring wheat on support price from farmers is continuing in Madhya Pradesh and so far the crop worth Rs 10,394 crore has been sold by 8,79,170 farmers in the state at procurement centres.

A total of 75.03 lakh metric tonnes has been procured out of which, 64.39 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been stored, an official release said on Tuesday.

The state government had made effective arrangements for record procurement of wheat in Madhya Pradesh this year.
About 2 to 2.25 lakh metric tonnes of wheat is being procured daily on an average under the government's wheat procurement policy, the release added.
