This date marked the beginning of an epic era which is and will be remembered for ages to come, as country's most celebrated cricketer Sachin Tendulkar scored his maiden ODI century on this day in 1994.

The fact that it took him 5 years and 78 One Day Internationals to score maiden three figure mark was overshadowed in due course of time as the 'Master Blaster' went on to repeat it 48 more times in the next 18 years.

The bowler who was part of this historic moment was none other than Australian legendry spinner Shane Warne. Sachin completed the task with a cut towards sweeper cover and had his childhood friend Vinod Kambli on the other end of the crease to celebrate the achievement.

India won the match against Australia and later also went on to win the tri-nation series with victory against Sri Lanka in the final.

Cherish the video of the moment when 'The God Of Cricket' finally got over nervous-ninety and went on to re-write history.
