London: Actor Brad Pitt says his days as the leading man are numbered as he plans to quit acting for a career behind the camera when he turns 50.

The 47-year-old actor, who raises six children with partner Angelina Jolie, said he might take up direction when he steps out of the limelight, according to reports.

"I will act for more three years only! I've really enjoyed the producerial side and getting stories to the plate that may have had a harder time otherwise," Pitt said.

The actor also said that his aim has always been of being at peace and happiness is overrated.

"I think happiness is overrated. Sometimes you're happy, sometimes you're not. There's too much pressure to be happy. I know I will be happy sometimes and I won't be at times. Being at peace is more of a goal for myself," Pitt added.
