According to senior SP leader Shivpal Yadav, emphasis will be given on strengthening block-level organisation by assigning more prominence to party workers.

Describing the workers as "backbone" of the party, Yadav said ministers have been asked not to neglect them.

Keen on repeating its performance of 2012, the party will direct its district presidents to hold meeting on regular basis and send their reports to the party headquarters so that SP gets to know the "ground reality".

"Those district presidents, who could not hold meetings do not need to continue. Meetings of district executives should be held all over the state and its report should come here," Shivpal cited.

Party workers got to know what was going on in their area and thus they could reach out to people easily he added.
