Panaji: Ahead of the 36th National Games, to be held in Goa, Union sports minister Ajay Maken on Saturday said all possible support would be extended to build infrastructure in the coastal state.

"Proper planning should be done in building the stadia and they should be used for sports activity and not for any other use after the event is held," he said on the sidelines of a book release function.

Referring to the infrastructure that includes stadia among other structures, Maken said the utility should be made available for the students to practice after the national Games are held.

With reference to Sports Bill, the union minister said the bill was already forwarded to the Cabinet for discussion.

"It (the bill) will come up shortly before the Parliament," Maken said refusing to place any deadline for the passage of the legislation.
