After the demand was rejected by the Speaker, the BJP members moved an adjournment motion for discussion on and trooped into the Well.
Immediately after the House assembled, BJP MLAs Mahinder Singh and Suresh Bhardwaj were on their feet seeking a debate.
The Speaker said that he had received the notice for an adjournment motion and it was under his consideration.

"The Chief Minister is facing a CBI inquiry, the functioning of the CM's Office is under cloud in view of fake DO (Demi Official) notes, common man is not getting subsidized ration, there is midnight action to take possession of property and total failure of the government. We need to discuss these issues on priority," BJP MLA Ravinder Ravi said.
Other BJP members too joined the chorus and demanded a discussion on the issues.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that the adjournment motion notice could not be allowed as the BJP had sought debate on more than one issue.

Speaker Brij Behari Lal Butail too said that the notice had so many issues clubbed together, out of which one of the issues was in the court.
"Still I have forwarded it to the government, a decision will be taken once I get the government's response," Butail said.
Leader of the Opposition and former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said that price rise and unemployment are big issues troubling the people. "All these issues are related as the reason for these is corruption," he said.
Dhumal also took strong exceptions to reported remarks made by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, calling him a ‘dangerous CM’ and that ‘he (Singh) would break the fingers pointed towards him’.
After the Speaker rejected the notice for adjournment motion, all BJP members walked into the Well and raised slogans, until the House was adjourned.
