The company on Thursday said it expects June-quarter IT services revenues to be in the range of USD 1.72 billion to USD 1.76 billion, which translates into a revenue growth range of 0.5 -2 percent as against expectations of 1.5-3.0 percent.

For the quarter to March 31, Wipro said net profit rose to Rs 2,227 crore (USD 368.98 million) compared with Rs 2.014 crore in the December quarter, up 10.5 percent. Sales rose 3.4 percent sequentially to Rs 11,653 crore from Rs 11,271 crore in the December quarter.

The stock opened at Rs 568 and touched a low of Rs 551 on the BSE. The counter has seen huge trading activity, with a combined 436,500 shares already changing hands till 0935 hours on the BSE and NSE.
