The new minivan replaces the Chrysler Town and Country and the Dodge Grand Caravan. The Pacifica has a sleeker, swept-back look than the current boxy models. It also sits lower to the ground.
There will be a plug-in hybrid version the first in the industry that can go up to 30 miles on electric power alone before the gas engine kicks in. Other firsts include hands-free sliding doors that open when the driver sticks a foot under them.
The Pacifica goes on sale this spring. Pricing hasn't been announced.
