New Delhi:  A serene ambience, a touch of rural atmosphere and a lush green surrounding is what one longs for after a hectic work schedule in urban cities. For Delhiites seeking these facilities on a trip to a hill station, here is a good news in the offing.

The Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation is working on a project which will provide all such luxuries to people and that too without stepping out of the national capital. The Tourism authority aims to construct bungalows which will be surrounded by greenery, giving the feel of staying at a farm house.

To avail the facility, one can book the bungalow for a period ranging between two and ten days. The Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of the project would be a rare mixture of a rural-urban blend. Despite being situated in Delhi, the entire locality will have an incongruous look to the remaining part of the national capital.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Department, GG Saxena, said, “The scheme has been named Eco Tourism Complex. Taking a leaf out of the book of Karnataka government, we are aiming to create an adventure trip for people.”

He added, “We are putting in effort to make Eco-Tourism complex in the same way, where people of Delhi can spend a few days to relax away from densely populated city. There will be an environment that appears far greener with beautiful blue sky”, he added.

Residential complexes are being designed in Kanganhedi. A total of 16 residential complexes would be constructed in the first phase. The construction of the first phase would be over in coming few months.

Plans are under pipeline to take up the project on a Private Public Partnership (PPP) model. The department will develop these complexes and handover business operations to the private companies.  The food and facilities will be provided by the private companies.
