Los Angeles: The script to the Hugh Jackman starrer superhero sequel 'Wolverine' will be rewritten by 'Total Recall' scribe Mark Bomback.

As the film's shoot got delayed due to the tsunami in Japan, Jackman began shooting for Tom Hooper's new version of 'Les Miserables'.

Meanwhile, director James Mangold decided to get the script redone, a magazine reported.

Bomback, the man behind Bryan Singer's 'Jack the Giant Killer' and Len Wiseman's 'Total Recall', has been brought on to rewrite Christopher McQuarrie's script for 20th Century film.

Jackman is set to reprise his role as the mutant hero in the action film.

The narrative finds Wolverine suffering from amnesia and searching for answers about his past in the Japanese criminal underworld.
