Rewari: Police on Monday arrested a woman of Kanhori village evading arrest for several years after being sentenced to life by a local court in dowry death case of her daughter-in-law in 1997.
A session courts had earlier handed life imprisonment to Parvati and her two sons Sombir and Dilbagh. The trio had been convicted in the dowry death of Sombir's wife Kamlesh Devi.
While Sombir surrendered before the jail authorities, Dilbagh and Parvati had turned fugitive. Dilbagh was arrested earlier this month, whereas Parvati was apprehended and taken to jail on Monday.
Kamlesh, daughter of Rajpal of Dubaldhan village, was married to Parvati Devi's elder son Sombir in 1988. She was allegedly burnt to death by her in-laws for dowry demand in July, 1997.
