Bengaluru: In-form Smriti Mehra will be the player to catch in the third and final leg of the 2011-12 Hero Women's Professional Golf tour which gets underway at the brand new Clover Greens Golf Course on Tuesday.

In the first leg, Neha Tripathi emerged the winner beating amateur Aditi Ashok in an extended play-off, while Smriti Mehra pulled the rug from under Sharmila Nicollet's feet with five birdies over last five holes to snatch victory after trailing for quite a while.

While Sharmila will be looking to getting her first win of the season, Smriti would try and extend her lead in the Order of Merit, which she currently leads.

This week the weather forecast is for windy conditions and the greens are expected to be fast. The huge bunkers will also be a challenge. The fairways are lined by causarina trees, both Indian and Australian.

Clover Greens, situated in Hosur district of Karnataka, about 30 kms from Bengaluru, will be playing host to its first-ever professional golf tournament.
