Attempts have already made to boost the morale of officials and they have been given a clear indication that the files should not get wrapped in layers of dust. The officials have also been asked that if they take decisions with clean intention, the government will protect them.

The government has deputed renowned personalities like Chetan Bhagat and Shiv Kheda to motivate them. The beginning of a new chapter was noticed when Chetan Bhagat addressed them to pull the officials out of the conventional modus operandi. Motivational speaker Shiv Kehda will interact with the officials of Environment Ministry on 6th June.

There is no honeymoon time for any minister in Modi-led government. Though they have been directed to frame a 100-day agenda, they have also been asked to stay on toes from 365-days perspective.

It needs to be mentioned that Modi, who was the Gujarat Chief Minister for 12 years, never took even a day’s leave. He has started preparing his ministers from this very outlook as well.

By boosting the morale of officials, they are also prepared for delivering results within its stipulated timeframe. The officials are being made to understand that the way in which they were working for the past ten years will no longer be the standard working procedure. Now they won’t be punished for taking any decision but for not taking it.

After Modi dissolved the Group of Ministers and Empowered Group of Ministers, a message was sent that the Cabinet Ministers will have to work in proper coherence and co-ordination with each other.

As a result, all the concerned ministers and ministries decided to come to a conclusion as early as possible. In this context, Minister of State for Power Piyush Goyal and Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar during their meeting on Monday deliberated on the issue of showing green signal to several public programmes.

Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh held talks on farmers’ insurance with Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

A minister quipped, “In the entire tenure, not only will you notice change in the functioning of government but style of functioning will also be different.”
