Muzaffarnagar: Judicial work in ten districts of western Uttar Pradesh on Thursday came to a standstill as lawyers boycotted courts in support of their demand to set up a bench of the Allahabad High Court in this part of the state.
    
The lawyers have also threatened to block the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway at Ghaziabad-Hindan bridge on December 14 to press for their demand.
    
President of state high court bench action committee Ashok Sharma said that the committee has decided to block the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway to press for their demand. They have also decided to gherao of Parliament on the issue on
December 19.
    
Lawyers of the western districts of state have long been demanding setting up of a bench of high court in the region for the convenience of the litigants.
