Hafeez said that he wants his team to be fit for the tournament and hopes Shahid Afridi is back in the playing eleven.

Afridi, who hurt his hamstring while playing the matches against India and Bangladesh last week, had to take pain killers during the Asia Cup final on Saturday.

Sixteen teams would be participating in the fifth edition of the World Twenty20, which will be held from March 16 to April 6.

The Pakistan team will leave for Dhaka on Thursday and will play two warm-up matches against New Zealand on March 17 and South Africa two days later. According to reports, the team hopes Afridi to join on Monday, which means the all-rounder, will miss the warm-up match against New Zealand.

Pakistan are placed in Group Two in the second round along with India, Australia, West Indies and one qualifier from the first round.
