Ahmedabad: On the propitious occasion of Mahashivratri, Ahmedabad comes with unique Shivlingam, made completely of chocolate. The special Shivlingam was unveiled on the occasion of Women’s Day at Kalyaneshwar Mahadev temple in Thakkarbapanagar area of the city. This exquisite Shivlingam is made of 600 kg chocolate and it measures 17.7 feet in length and 56 feet in width. Auspicious Shivlingam was completed in six days. The decorations around the Shivlingam are also made of chocolate.

People can view it on March 9 and 10 between 8 am and 9 pm. Mob of visitors and followers is flocking to the temple to worship this unique Shivlingam. After the two-day darshan, the chocolate will be distributed among children as prasad.

This is an effort by the Brahma Kumaris, a spiritual organization of women, which has also applied for World Imaging record and World Records of India for the title of ‘the tallest chocolate Shivling’.
