According to reports, the company aims to focus on the launch and sale of Redmi 1s and therefore has decided to discontinue the sale of Mi3 for few weeks.

“Over next few weeks, we will focus on Redmi 1S, and Mi 3 won’t be available. We will take the final call after few weeks, once we have more visibility / data points,” Xiaomi India head Manu Jain was quoted as saying by a tech blog.
Xiaomi has already sold nearly 90,000 units of Mi3 in 6 flash sales via ecommerce giant Flipkart.
Xiaomi will follow the same strategy for its new handset 'Redmi 1s', which will hit Indian shores on September 2.
Priced at Rs 5,999, the second smartphone from Xiaomi's portfolio to be launched in India, will be put on sale on Flipkart on September 2 from 2 pm onwards.

Xiaomi is estimated to have sold 90,000 units of Mi3 smartphone, which was launched in the country for Rs 13,999.
