The device comes with a 5 Full HD IPS screen with a resolution of 440 ppi. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 801 chipset ticking at 2.5 GHz. The phone features a 13 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 8 megapixel front-facing camera, and can record HD videos at 120 fps.

It comes with an onboard storage of  16 GB but does not have a microSD slot to expand the memory. Mi 4 runs on  Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and is backed with 3,080 mAh battery.

Xiaomi which is known for its powerful hardware will launch its premium smartphone Mi 4 equipped with the latest quad-core Snapdragon 801 chip and 3 GB RAM.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 package will contain the phone with the metallic frame and removable black panel, wall charger and USB cable. Interestingly, the phone does not come with earphones.



Xiaomi's customisation MIUI v6 is an imitation of iOS 8, while its lockscreen is inspired by Microsoft's mobile platform. Its connectivity features include Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0.

'1 million smartphones sold in India'

Xiaomi which entered Indian market in July has received good response in the country. The company has managed to sell one million smartphones in India by the end of December last year, via Flipkart.

Manu Kumar Jain Head of Xiaomi operation in India took to social networking site Twitter to announce the news.

"In dec, we reached a major milestone - 1 mn phones sold in India! Thank u for your love and support. @MiIndiaOfficial," he had tweeted.
