The yet-to-be-announced phablet may feature 5.5 inch full HD display. Redmi 2 comes fitted with MediaTek MT6795 octa-core 64-bit processor.

The new handset will run on MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0. According to the rumours, the handset will boast a 13-megapixel camera on the rear surface and a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfie lovers.

The predecessor Redmi Note 4G features 5.5-inch 720 pixels display and 13 MP rear camera with LED flash. Also, it has 5 MP front snapper and the smartphone works upon 1.6 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G comes with a 3,100 mAh battery and has only one SIM card slot unlike its 3G version which has dual-SIM slot.
While Xiaomi has stayed any official word on the announcement of the phablet, it might reveal the much anticipated product on April 23. The company will host a global event in India on April 23 that may witness the launch of Xiaomi Mi 4i in India.
