Hugo Barra, President of  Xiaomi took to his Facebook account on Thursday to reveal that India is the next country to get the Redmi Note smartphone.

However, the release date is yet not announced, but the earlier reports suggests that the smartphone may arrive soon in the market as the company plans to release Note before the end of November in the country.

The smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280x720p. Powered by  1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, the phone is paired with 2GB of RAM.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with the MIUI v5 skin on top. It features a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera.

It comes with 8GB of built-in storage and facilitate the users to expand the memory upto 32 GB via microSD card.

Connectivity options of the device include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Direct and hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with OTG, and GPS/ A-GPS.

The Redmi Note is backed with a 3100mAh battery, weighs 199 grams, and has dimensions of 154x78.7x9.5 mm.
