The device targets budget phones category and is priced at Rs 7,999. The specialty of Q500 is that its X-TransPic app works even when the phone is not connected to the internet. It allows users to translate Hindi words to English or read out the detected text by using text to speech functionality, said the company.

XOLO Q500 is installed with a 4-inch WVGA display with OGS technology and 233 PPI for a rich multimedia experience. The smartphone is powered by Google’s Android Jelly Bean 4.1 operating system. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (quad-core processor).

The device also features a 5 megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera that enables users to click self-portraits and video calling. The device includes 1 GB of RAM and has got 4 GB internal memory that is expandable up to 32 GB via mocroSD card support.
