The Xolo Q900 comes with a 4.7-inch HD TFT display and 720 x 1280 resolution display. The device is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589 processor with 286 MHz PowerVR SGX544 GPU along with 1GB of RAM.

It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and features dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) capability. The handset fosters a 4 GB inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card. It also packs in an 8 mega-pixel rear autofocus camera with BSI sensor along with a 2 mega-pixel front-facing camera.

The new smartphone is a part of the Q series family which also includes: Xolo Q700, Xolo Q600, Xolo Q1000, Xolo Q1000S, and Xolo Q800.

The company has also listed another smartphone on its site, Xolo A600, without any price details. This handset features a 4.5-inch qHD display and is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek 6572W processor. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and packs in a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash.
