Sonipat: “India has a unique place in Yoga. Indian yoga gives the country a special identity in the world,” said Haryana Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Sharma, while presiding over the inaugural ceremony of 6th yoga championship.

“There is no one way to define Yoga, people can realize their inner strength by practicing it,” he added.
He further said that Yoga championship will soon get recognition at international level also. Yoga competitions are being organized by Womens’ Yoga Federation of India.

“Since the very beginning India has held the position of yoga guru in the world and for the last six years Womens’ Yoga Federation of India is organizing competitions at national levels,” Sharma said.

He prayed for the bright future of students and encouraged them to participate in these events with outmost honesty and good intentions. He ensured that the state government is doing everything possible to encourage it.

In the inaugural ceremony Asha Hudda, Vice-President, children welfare council, Haryana said, “Yoga is an activity of paramount importance. Yoga cannot be defined by a single definition and in the present scenario, it becomes all the more important for women too,” Hudda added.

On this occasion, the Inspector General of railway police KK Mishra and the state President and Inspector railway police Bharti Arora said that yoga is not only a variety of sports rather an art which brings happiness, peace, satisfaction, unity and success in your life.
