New Delhi: After Anna Hazare's crusade against corruption, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has also taken a firm stand and decided to give a fillip to the momentum against graft and sleaze, which is cropping up day by day. Putting his plan of launching a political party on hold, he is all set to start ‘Satyagraha against corruption’.

After completing his ‘Bharat Swabhiman Yatra’, Yoga Guru will start the ‘Satyagraha against corruption’ from June 4. But his war against sleaze and rot will be without Anna Hazare and his supporters as he wants to make an independent identity.

Ramdev will hold a press conference on April 27 in this connection. According to sources close to Ramdev, this is not the right time to launch any new political party.

“After the success of Anna’s movement, one can see how the Congress is downplaying the entire state of affairs and people talk about the wrong intention of the political party. And the election will be conducted in 2014, so we have lot of time,” said the source.

Ramdev’s spokesperson S K Tijarawala said that Yoga Guru has mentioned that he would give a political option to the nation but he never said that this option will be launching a new party only.

Political advisor to Ramdev, Govindacharya said Baba has enabled 14 oragnisations including his Bharat Swabhiman Forum, to register their own parties across 125 districts in the country.

Ramdev will also write a letter to Prime Minister on three issues- formation of autonomous Lokpal, bringing back black money stashed away in foreign banks and to sign UN declaration against corruption.

The ‘Bharat Swabhiman Yatra’ will complete one lakh kilometers on June 4, said sources.

However, BJP will be at its losing end if the Yoga Guru announces any political party. Senior leaders of the party are trying to stop Ramdev’s move to launch any party and have even spoken with him in this connection.

Govindacharya is said to be against any deal with the BJP.
