He was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead.

Prima facie it seems that the youth may have suffered a heart attack, police informed, adding the reason behind the death is being investigated.

The chaos broke out during the Territorial Army recruitment rally at Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) in Talwara belt of Reasi district as aspirants rushed towards the entrance in large numbers while those rejected started pushing each other on the way out, police said.

Police resorted to mild cane charge as the crowd clashed with them in which five persons including a cop suffered minor injuries, they cited, adding that the situation was brought under control and the screening of aspirants is underway.

The rally organised for recruitment to the posts of Soldier General Duty, Clerks, Store Keeper Technical (SKT), Surveyor, Tradesmen (Chef Community, Masalchi, Steward, Housekeeper, Hair Dresser, Washerman and Drivers) categories would end on May 9.
