New Delhi: A sensational case of murder of the son of a government official has come to light. The youth was working as a health counselor in Max Kupa Insurance Select City Mall in Delhi. His I-ten Car is also said to be missing from the site of the accident. The investigation is going on.

The victim, identified as Shreekant Singh (28), was living in Moti Bagh South along with his father Shispal Singh, a Section Officer in National Commission for SC&ST. He was married in last January.

On the ill-fated day of July 29, one of the friends of the victim, Sanjay Bhattacharya, made a call to him by 12.30 PM. Shrikant Singh left his office and went to meet him. Shreekant along with friend moved for some other destination by his I-ten car.

Details of the mobile call disclosed that both of them had travelled down to Greater Noida via Chirag Delhi.

According to Shispal Singh, he had his last talk with his son around 4.45 PM and he told him that he was going to meet his friend Sanjay.

When Shreekant did not return till late night, his family members made several calls on his mobile, but they failed to establish any contact with him.

Next day in the evening, his family members registered an FIR with South Camp Police Station. According to Shispal, the police took the matter very lightly.

After several requests of the family members, the police registered the incident as a case of kidnapping on August 2. The police recovered the body of the victim from roadside in a village Asalwas Dharuhera, Rewari. According to the police, the neck of the victim was slit.

After the postmortem, Kasaula police station kept the body in the mortuary of the District Civil Hospital for identification. When identification of the body could not be ascertained for three days, it was cremated on August 3.
