Nawaz, Radhika Apte and Mehta were in Gehlaur, Manjhi's native village, yesterday to pay their tribute to the 'Mountain Man' on his death anniversary.

Nawaz, who plays the titular role in the Ketan Mehta-directed biopic, said that youth should watch the movie for its inspiring story of a man who broke down a mountain with his determination.

"We have gathered to honour and celebrate his thoughts and ideas. We want the entire nation to know the story of Manjhi, especially the youth. This is a story which will inspire everybody with its message," Nawaz said.
    
Mehta collaborated with Milap Social Venture to donate Rs 5,31,166 for the education in the village. Manjhi's son Baghirath was there at the event which was flocked by villagers.
    
Radhika, who plays Manjhi's wife in the biopic, said she was glad to be a part of the film as it was a very special role.
    
"I feel extremely fortunate to play the character of Manjhi's wife. He loved her so much he broke a mountain for her. It is a very special role”, Radhika said.

'Manjhi- The Mountain Man' releases this Friday.
