Shobha was seriously injured after the four-wheeler in which she was travelling turned turtle at around 11.30 pm last night while the 46-year-old MLA was returning after an election campaign in Kurnool.
     
She was rushed to a private hospital at Banjara Hills here with severe bleeding injuries, where she died undergoing treatment.
     
A medical bulletin issued by Care Hospital said, "We are sad to inform Shobha Nagi Reddy, who was brought to Care Hospital on April 24 following a major road accident is no more."
     
Two gunmen and the vehicle driver, who were travelling along with Shobha, had also suffered injuries and were undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kurnool.

Their condition is out of danger, a police officer said.

 “It seems the vehicle driver lost control while trying to take a turn as paddy was put on the road,” the officer added.
     
The woman legislator is survived by her husband former MP Bhuma Nagi Reddy, two daughters and a son.
